• Amsterdam 17-19 April: introducing 21 exporters to the cosmetic market

incosemticsFrom 17-19 April you can find us at “in-cosmetics” in Amsterdam, the global trade fair for cosmetic ingredients. Visit CBI stand A30 to find business opportunities with 18 exporters from South Africa, Peru and Colombia. They will present a wide range of cosmetic ingredients, including luxurious oils, exquisite fragrances and innovative botanical extracts. 

We will introduce three companies from Nepal and Tunisia to potential buyers during a selling mission, together with the Import Promotion Desk. These producers of organic essential and vegetable oils will visit the in-cosmetics trade fair. After the fair, they will travel to Germany and France to meet additional buyers.

  • Indonesia 23-27 April: buyer mission essential oils 

We are introducing three essential oils buyers to Indonesian essential oil producers in Indonesia, during the AAC and AAIC conferences, on behalf of the Swiss Import Promotion Programme. The mission is co-organised with DAI, the essential oil organisation in Indonesia.

  • Geneva 15-17 May: exporters herbal extracts, mother tinctures  moringa, baobab and other wild-harvested plants at Vitafoods

2016_vitafoodsIf you’re going to Vitafoods in Geneva from 15-17 May, don’t forget to stop by the CBI stand H100 where we will support 7 companies from South Africa and Pakistan. The exhibitors from Pakistan offer various herbal extracts and mother tinctures. The companies from South Africa are bringing products based on moringa, grape and flax seed, seaweed, fruits, nuts and vegetables, baobab and other wild-harvested plants.

We will also support five South African companies in CBIs natural ingredients for health products programme with additional matchmaking. Leading up to Vitafoods, we will build their capacities to find and contact new potential buyers for their products. CBI´s South Africa programme is finishing this year, we are very proud to see how far they´ve come since the start in 2014.

  • Tunisia: improving competitive position and efficiency of value chains for the World Bank 

white-notebook-societyThe World Bank assigned us to conduct a value chains and jobs survey in Tunisia to improve the competitive position of local firms and efficiency of value chains. In the coming months, we will develop a strategy for change in the Tunisian medicinal and aromatic plants value chain. This is based on a profile of this value chain, an analysis of the main problems and underlying causes and lessons learned from three case studies.
