Pukka Herbs is a UK-based organic herbal tea and supplement company. Pukka Herbs and ProFound are ready to pilot the NI-CheckApp's ability to include new suppliers in their value chain.

Michael Schwegler is co-designer & content manager of the NI-CheckApp. His main focus is ensuring that this tool is user-friendly for operators and quality staff. He has a professional background in agriculture, geography /hydrology and quality management systems. He is (since 2000) an auditor for agriculture and food, regularly conducting inspections for internationally operating control bodies such as IMO Swiss AG, Lacon GmbH, QC&I GmbH, and bio.inspecta AG.He is accredited for multiple sustainability standards: Organic, FairWild, geographic origin and food safety. He also works as consultant and trainer for clients such as GIZ, IPD, CBI, Swisscontact, UNDP, TRAFFIC, FibL and Fairventure Worldwide about market access and voluntary certifications.

FairWild specifically focuses on wild plant resources and a fair future for people. With the FairWild Standard, entrepreneurs that work with wild-collected natural ingredients can show their commitment to sustainable collection, social responsibility and fair trade principles.
The partnership between FairWild and ProFound goes back to 2008, when the FairWild Foundation was established. ProFound Director Bert-Jan Ottens is a member of the FairWild Board of Trustees. ProFound and FairWild both work to develop sustainable and traceable value chains for natural ingredients. ProFound supports FairWild at international events and we have built the principles of the FairWild Standard into our projects. The FairWild Foundation also supports ProFound's integrated certification tool, which makes it easier for entrepreneurs to get FairWild and other certifications.

The IN2NI network provides a platform for natural ingredient stakeholders to share and give their opinion on key developments in the sector. IN2NI joins partners that are not only “in to” natural ingredients, but also bring specific expertise, on sourcing, on traceability, sustainability and certification, and on product-market matching and export marketing in Europe, North America and Asia.
Since December 2014 ProFound is part of the in the IN2NI network.

CBI supports Pakistani producers of natural ingredients. Specifically, with ProFound, CBI focussed on wild collected products in mountainous regions in Northern Pakistan. The aim of the programme is to link suppliers to markets for value-added products by working on traceability, sustainability and quality.
Working on certification and compliance was key. Within this scope, the NI-CheckApp tool was developed, piloted and implemented.

With a presence in more than 70 countries, Control Union Certifications provides you with the options to source sustainably, wherever you are. ProFound has worked specifically with Control Union HQ in the Netherlands and in Sri Lanka, training inspectors in FairWild certification as well as reviewing the NI-CheckApp documentation. For Control Union FairWild is a new business line that needed to be developed. Linking FairWild to organic will make certification process cheaper and easier for clients The NI-CheckApp does this. Control Union also accepts the NI-CheckApp documentation for FairWild.
AgriPlace is an online platform for farmers, auditors, standard-setting organisations such as GLOBALG.A.P. and food companies that links all involved to a centralized platform, making compliance easy. AgriPlace is the digital partner of the NI-CheckApp, making its documentation and management digital, saving even more time for operators.
