Bert-Jan, the owner and founder of ProFound, met Mr. Raheel at the FI Food and Ingredients Fair in Paris in 2015. After initial conversations, ProFound began assisting United Gums in establishing a strong market presence.

“ProFound’s guidance was instrumental in identifying our unique selling points and effectively connecting us with the market. Their expertise and support not only enabled us to navigate challenges but also provided invaluable insights that contributed to our growth and success,” shared Mr. Raheel, founder and CEO of United Gums.

With favorable rainfall, Guar can flourish effortlessly without external assistance or manipulation. Guar itself is naturally organic. Once the seed is planted, it grows, needing only sufficient sun after the rain.

Guar seeds are planted in early July and harvested in December. “We don’t need to do much else. The land rests for six months,” said Mr. Raheel, CEO of United Gums.

Guar is multifunctional because nothing goes to waste. Guar splits are obtained from the seeds, and guar meal is obtained from dehulling. Guar powder is derived from the guar splits, with guar gum as the final product; the process results in only 3 to 5% wastage.

Mr. Raheel, founder and CEO of United Gums, began working with Guar after studying commerce in 2011. He aimed to create his own organic guar company and sell to the international market.

But, why guar gum?

There are several reasons, the main one is its naturally organic process since, with favorable rainfall, Guar can flourish effortlessly without external assistance or manipulation. Guar itself is naturally organic. Once the seed is planted, it grows, needing only sufficient sun after the rain.

Over time, our relationship with United Gums has evolved into a very positive and collaborative partnership. We feel privileged to assist them in understanding industry and market dynamics, adapting to changes, exploring new opportunities, and expanding their reach.
