The Organic Africa Pavilion 2020 (BioFach*, Hall 3A – 320 & 322) will host many exhibitors specialised in different types of vegetable oils, as well as one exporter of beeswax. These African exhibitors worked hard to set up sustainable and certified supply chains in order to create high quality products. Discover more about their products below!
Vegetable oils at the Organic Africa Pavilion:
The vegetable oils at the pavilion are extracted from various types of fruits, seeds, grains, and nuts. Here is a sneak peak of the different types of vegetable oils you will encounter if you drop by the pavilion:
Argan oil, Baobab oil, Kalahari melon seed oil, Marula oil, Mafura butter, Mongongo butter, Moringa oil, Shea butter and Ximenia oil.
The vegetable oils from Africa offer valuable properties and a powerful story on their origin for creating unique cosmetics and wellness products. With wild harvesting and family businesses based in South Africa, Zimbabwe, Mozambique or even Angola, you will find a large variety of oils at the pavilion that shows the high biodiversity of the southern part of the continent.
Beeswax at the Organic Africa Pavilion:
We will again host an exporter of beeswax. Since a few years, the demand in the European market for organic beeswax is quite high. Europe is importing more and more because of the substantial decrease of the European beekeeping sector and due to the increasing labour costs for European production. Africa is a major producer of beeswax. The continent offers vast areas without intensive agriculture which makes Africa the ideal place for sourcing pure natural organic beeswax.
