Supporting the Foreign Trade Chamber to develop market intelligence
This week, our senior consultant Kasper Kerver is in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) for a meeting organised by the Foreign Trade Chamber (FTC) for the medicinal and aromatic plants sector. This meeting is part of a bigger project in which ProFound is active; training and supporting the Foreign Trade Chamber in BiH to improve its services to its members.
During the meeting, FTC presented results of the market research on the essential oils market in the United States that they have worked on since May with ProFound’s support. The research will help companies in BiH to enter the North American market. Another meeting focused on the FTC team that previously worked on the US essential oils market research. They identified information sources for desk research and buyer profiling.
Preparation of local companies for BioFach
During this trip, Kasper had another meeting with companies that will participate in BiH’s national pavilion at BioFach, the biggest European organic fair. He presented the trends in the medicinal and aromatic plants market and discussed the companies’ objectives for the fair. This training is part of our fair trade preparations services.
It turned out that all companies have interesting ideas for product development, which they want to research at Biofach. Kasper is looking forward to provide input for their preparation of the market research, together with FTC, and possibly provide support with implementation of their market research plans.
