CBI assigns ProFound to conduct Value Chain Analysis in Central America

ProFound is starting 2018 at full speed. We have been recently selected by CBI to carry out a Value Chain Analysis for its new Export Coaching Programme (ECP) in Central America. This ECP will be implemented in the framework of the European Commission’s Central America Regional Economic Integration policy. Relevant South African Public and Private institutions agree on actions for a better future of the Natural Ingredients sector

During the second strategic workshop for natural ingredients in South Africa on the 1st of July 2016, sector stakeholders set clear objectives and actions to increase exports of natural ingredients. Objectives were set along the value chain, from establishing a sustainable value chain, to processing according to international requirements, and commercialisation to the right market with the right certification and marketing tools. ProFound helped develop company action plans for participants in the South African export coaching programme, as well as a sector strategy to improve sustainability in the country’s natural ingredients sector. We supported a sector analysis and company audits focusing on corporate social responsibility. Together with CBI’s CSR manager, experts and Sandra Kruger and Associates in South Africa, ProFound adjusted existing CSR tools to cater to realities on the ground in South African natural ingredients – particularly for wild-collected ingredients.
