Kenyan companies face severe mistrust issues on the domestic and international markets, dating a few years back, when products were rejected by European markets despite carrying labels. Kasper Kerver highlights moringa opportunities on Zambian TV

Our consultant Kasper Kerver just returned from field research on moringa in Zambia. During his trip he was also interviewed for the national TV network ZNBC. In Kasper's field research, he assessed current capacities and developments on the ground in Zambia. Kasper discussed the opportunities for moringa production with stakeholders in the sector. He visited nurseries, farmers, traders, exporters, the Zambian Development Agency and NGOs with an interest in this sector. Gustavo Ferro on mission in Central America: 6 countries, 5 sectors, 5 weeks

Promoting trade in Zambian moringa

Moringa is one of the new superfoods, the leaves of this plant  are packed with vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. Though a niche market in Europe, it has the potential to grow rapidly, if European buyers can position moringa as a healthy, natural and organic superfood. Successful agricultural clusters in Eastern Indonesia for the World Bank

ProFound developed strategies for innovative clusters of economic activity with key Eastern Indonesian agricultural products. In this project for the World Bank we worked together with our Indonesian partner Setara Foundation and several experts from Gadjah Mada University. ProFound supports project formulation for Colombia+Competitiva

As part of the SECO-funded Colombia+Competitiva programme, ProFound’s Gustavo Ferro was invited by Swisscontact to support Colombian applicants to formulate proposals for cocoa and natural ingredients projects. An expert panel will assess these proposals and choose projects that will be co-funded by the programme. Gustavo travelled to five locations in Colombia, and discussed extensively with project partners. With the organisations, he addressed broad subjects on market developments, access requirements, segmentation and, most importantly, how to translate the problems therein into practical interventions. Training Tunisian producers – How to access the European cosmetics market?
